Firstly, what are Documents and when should we use them. They are NOT your email templates to clients, they’re more official articles like Schedules of Service, Engagement Letters etc and your Business Terms
If you’re looking for email communications, head here
We’ve created an array of In-Built templates for everybody to use, however you may wish to tailor these or create from scratch.
So perhaps you want to use your current documentation/LOE within Engager, all you would need to to do is head to Settings - Documents - Document Templates
Head to Custom Document templates at the top of the screen, then select ‘new template’
From here you can start to build out your own documents, Schedule of services etc and add in your placeholders for future use
You can simply paste your preferred wording into this new document and use moving forwards as your preferred documents / schedule of service.
PLEASE NOTE - you will now need to activate and assign these for you to use in Engager in Settings - Services. This is more for your specific Schedule of Services
So in the below example, I’ve created a new Service and I’m adding in my freshly created Schedule of Services
If you have added your Schedule of services for VAT that you like to use, you will need to update the Master Settings similar to above - Head to Settings - Locate the VAT Service - change the drop to your new Schedule of Service
With Letter of Engagement, you can edit our existing documents to better suit your practice.
Scroll down to Built-in
Locate the article that you’d like to tailor and select the pen sign on the right hand side
Now that you’ve tailored the LOE or Created a brand new LOE in the system, let’s take a look at how you ensure you’re sending these when sending out LOE and proposals.
Head to your client in question then in Settings - Documents - LOE
Then ‘re-generate’, then ‘Customise’
There’s a small section where you can select from your Documents and then select your desired documents / Engagement
Hope this helps!
