Service Groups are a great way to keep your account neat and tidy and also generate those all important widgets on your Dashboard. So if you panic wondering why your newly created Service isn’t appearing on your Dashboard, it is because it hasn’t been created within a Service Group
So let’s head to Settings - Jobs - Service Groups
A great example of when to ‘group’ services, would be something like ‘bookkeeping’ - so let’s set up our Service Group
In Service Group - Select - Add Group
Then give it a title - remember this will appear on your Widget on your Dashboard
Now I’m going to select all services to sit under this heading and widget
This is how my new Widget for Bookkeeping appears
The Widget is steering me to investigate what’s going on - I’ve 6 overdue items across ALL bookkeeping services, so you’ll note in the example below, it has pulled through different types of Bookkeeping services that I have enabled as the Group, so bookkeeping for VAT and bookkeeping for Month End.
Grouping your services together like this, can really make your Dashboard and the widgets within, really highlight anything that needs attention and helps you run your practice more effectively.
