We have a wonderfully help link with Companies House, via something called an API connection. This will cross reference your client’s data in Engager, against Companies House database.
If there’s any differences, it will suggest you to update these the following day. We will not override your account automatically.
When you check your Engager account in the morning, review your Notifications every morning as best practice.
Where to find your Notifications
Once you select ‘updates to client data’, it will take you to a list of items that need attention.
***Please note***
We will never update your data automatically - we would never override your details without consent, hence this feature.
Within the list, you can see the client, the area that has been identified that has a change / discrepancy, and all you’ll need to do is review and then accept the recommended change.
To accept the recommended change, there’s a handy green tick for you to use.
If you ever wonder why certain data isn’t in your Engager account, it’s likely that we’ve already commended the change, you’ve simply missed the notification to go check.
So to help with this, you can always go to Companies House area within Engager - Settings - Client Data - Companies House
SIC code
Company number
Business start date
Registered office address (and trading address if marked as equal)Due date for Limited Company Accounts or LLP Accounts depending on the client type
Due date for CS01
Account ref and CS01 due dates
You will need to go into your clients, section 1 of General Info and then link to CH, then save - the overnight job will then try and sync and pull through ready for you to review the very next morning
